i think it might be more expensive to get all the stuff from that 93 to work
with your 96. i'm no expert in the Gen II's, but isn't there an issue
withthe emmissions? plus, you'd have to replace the "Y" pipe of your
exhaust. look at that $850 crate motor... a new engine would be better than
a rebuilt motor, and you wouldn't have to worry about the compatability
(other than the EGR valve, if you've got one... i don't think you do, tho).

For purely economical reasons. The V6 had an oil pump failure and it has serious damage. I have available a wrecked 93 that has a good motor. I need to get the truck back in service and was hoping I could make a temporary switch till I could get the V6 rebuit.
