I will throw this out as I did with "BIG PROBLEM" thread.. I got a Marshall
Motors Remanufactured(short block) 2 years ago for my 3.9 mag. Swipe the
heads, intake TB etc from top of old motor, put on new and stick it in...
According to Marshall Motor, the shortblock is completely redone, cylinders
cleaned, new pistons, rings, piston rods, Crank, cranks bearings, oil pump
etc... everything inside the block is new.
This motor runs like a top. It came with a 3 year/100,000 mile warranty for
about $800(may have been $900 can't really remember), where as Dodge wanted
$1400 for a short block that had a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.
