Bill,
I'm not familiar with the bulldog system...however...With my Viper 550 ESP
there were two ignition wires on the relay bank (separate relay for each
ignition wire). Because our daks only have one ignition wire, you can use
the extra relay on the bank for the parking lights.
That's based on MY alarm/starter...don't know if it will hold true for your
system. As far as the neutral safety switch...I'm confused...why would you
need a relay for that? My understanding is that it is wired into one of the
harnesses going into the brain of the alarm/starter...there shouldn't be any
need to add a relay for that. Again I'm not familiar with Bulldog Security
at all, so you may need one...I just don't know to be honest! As far as the
"undesireable operation" you described...check to see that you have a good
ground. The starters we install at work are designed to try to start 3
times if unsuccessful the first time. If you have a bad ground the truck
will start up, then shut down about 10 seconds later and then restart and so
on. If that's not the problem, double check to make sure that all of your
wires are tapped into the correct wires from the ignition harness.
HTH, although it probably didn't do much...let me know.
Eric Jerman
