That's a synchro, & ya might try double clutching to get 'er to engage
quicker, tho I can't see why ya'd wanna bang it into 1st in a race

Don't know about the power locks & window controls, but the starter circuit
has a clutch pedal position switch which only allows the ignition switch to
engage the starter if the clutch is depressed.

Back in the day, before Febreeze came along, we used to dump fresh coffee
grounds on the floor mats & keep the windows closed for a couple of daus to
get rid of the dreaded "smoker's stink"...this trick even worked for cigar
smells...'Course, if ya can't stand the smell of coffee, well...
