neither is the scoop in the SRT-4, but there is an easy way to make it
functional. the reason for the hood scoop is probably to reduce the
under-hood heat, which with a big V-10, is probably very high. i'm sure
that given time, there'll be some very good ways of getting that scoop
functional as an intake, not like the Mustangs with the non-functional hood
scoops (not the Mach 1, but the GT's and V6's).
