Oh yeah, I won't use Paypal for anything over $100, just heard too many
horror stories.

Subject: DML: Beware Paypal users

Ok, first, I would like for someone else to try this as well (not to
actually send the money, but to see if they see the samething I do).

Note: My primary account is my checking account, backup is my CC, you may
need the same setup for this to happen...

Login to your paypal account. Then choose to send money, put in whatever
email, amount for $1000 or more, goods non-auction, whatever subject. Click
Continue. Next screen is Check Payment Details. Under Sources for Funding,
only thing listed there is the Credit Card (no instant transfer from
Checking or the express whatever from checking). Ok, looks good cause I'm
paying by CC anyway. Click on Send Money, and guess what, it sent an
instant transfer from my Checking Account!! Ok, I go through the whole
thing again, but this time, under the Sources for Funding, I choose More
Funding Options, and notice that... oohhhh I CANNOT CHOOSE instant
transfer... how interesting.. Anyway, I choose express, then back to CC,
OK, then Send money.. this time it actually sent it from my CC (I already
had the receiptient refund the money from my instant transfer)...

So if in the Check Payment Detail, it defaults to CC without anything else
being listed as selectable (think this happens at $1000 or more, cause it
showed all the options when I did it with $5), make sure you go into your
More Funding Options screen, choose something else, then your CC and choose
OK. Otherwise, the money might not come from your CC. Unfortunately, the
instant transfer takes 3-5 days, and since it got refunded, it's going to my
paypal account, where I'll then have to send it BACK to my checking
account.......

Now the fun part is trying ton convince their Customer non-service that
there is an actual problem with their website. THEY claim that on the
Payment Detail option, that it won't even default to the CC, yet, that was
the only option there... curious.......... So, I'm going back and forth
with them right now (and oh yeah, they cannot stop the instant transfer
either, which means I'm gonna have to
A) get more money in there
B) have checks bounce
C) pay $$$ to have a stop payment on it - if possible, and try to get that
from Paypal people (yeah, right).

So just be warned, make sure you always go into that More Funding Options
screen, even if the way you're paying it is already selected.
