No need to bother. I'm using a non-lockup 518 in my '92 and all I did was
flatten the stock dust shield to fit the flat bell housing. Don't worry
about the two bolts you won't be able to use.

There's a lot more differences between lockup/non-lockup trannys than just
the converter and solenoids so the answer is no. You don't need the lockup
anyway as it only lowers cruising rpm by about 200 rpm. It's only purpose
on the original trans is for (slightly) improved mileage. The MP tranny
comes with a wiring harness to give you manual control over the OD but I'm
going to try splicing mine into the original harness so the PCM can continue
to automatically control it. You could still turn it off with the original
switch. If you really want to have a lockup trans you should contact APS
Precision or SMR transmissions http://www.smrtrans.com/
