1998 Dakota Sport 3.9 auto transmission.
It started ok this afternoon, drove it 4 blocks and all of a sudden it
wouldn't idle. If I depressed the pedal, I was able to get it to run
like it should if idling. Smooth. I'll probably have to take it to my
mechanic but does anyone know what kind of things I should look for?
It's about 45 deg outside and the truck hadn't even begun to warm up.
After sitting for an hour, it still won't idle. Could this be a sensor?
After warming up to normal operating temp, it will idle but surges from
time to time.
