The 4X4's have a different crossmember to accomodate the torsion bars. It's quite close to
the tranny pan. I usually dump fluid into the crossmember when I replace the tranny
filter. Also, if you are running PP or Mopar headers, you may find, as I did, that you
cannot run a deeper than stock pan due to the Y-pipe.

That's strange.....mine went up with no problem at all......of course we
had the Dak on a lift, which made it easier.
But I no fitment problems at all,.....not sure why your crossmember
interfered.
