Premature 02 sensor and cat failure? That's exactly
what happened to my truck! When the cat was removed
all this pitch black "charcoal" came pouring out of
it. Cat completely plugged. Inside tailpipe was jet
black. Just happened last week. Truck was a no-go
under any load.

Truck lopes a bit. And it does ping under load uphill.
Maybe it's best if I fix it. Wayne at APS offered me
one of his air intake plenum kits. I think I'll take
him up on it.

BTW...anyone out there use
www.techauthority.daimlerchrysler.com/ to get their
service manuals? I bought a service manual for my 92
dak v8 46rh trans in cd format. But it just doesn't
seem like it's the right type of field service manual
people on this list talk about. THe Haynes manual is
confusing and not always helpful.

I would appreciate any suggestions or pointers. I like
my Dak. And I would like to keep it in good shape.

Thank you.
