Ok, I know this isn't a Dak but I can't help bragging about that 4.7L
engine. Mine's in a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4x4, automatic, 3.73 gears,
245/70/16 All Terrain tires. It averaged 25.6 mpg at 70 mph on a 400 mile
round trip last September and generally gets 17+ mpg around town. It's a
little lighter than a Dak at 4110 lbs without driver, 4300 with. My wife
usually races it but I ran it yesterday at a test and tune session and it
turned a best of 15.404 @ 85.09 mph. Just gotta love that little motor!
:-)

Dak content......my Dak (5.2L auto, 4x2) even with all my mods, gets a
little over 20 mpg highway at 70 mph with the bed loaded down with race gear
and the AC on. ;-)
