<SNIP>For those who have installed the RS9000X shocks, what do you think of
them? The adjustability appeals to me, but I'm wondering how they're
actually working for people. Is the softest setting any more
comfortable than the stock shocks?
What I'm looking for is something that will be at least comparable to
the stock shocks for on-road driving (preferably a bit more
comfortable) but will also perform well off-road.
Thanks,
- -Bill
Bill, I've had them for about a 1 1/2 years now and very happy with them.
RS9000 are the ones I have, They adjust liner from min to max. The soft
setting is softer then stock. I'll find my self setting them around 2 to 2.5
for my liking for around town and at 1 for the hiway. I wish the front
Rancho shocks were a little firmer. The max firm setting is a true test of
the kidneys after awhile ;-}
See my web site for photos of the install of the compressor. Can't check it
here at work if I updated the photos or not. The gauge is mounted on a
pillar pod and the control switches are mount in the dash to the left of the
steering wheel column.
