The box is just made from particle board and I did no modification to the
tray other than some screws, it is really more of a top than a box, it is
only about 2" tall in the front and 3/4" tall in the back. I would
definitely stick with the 8 if I was you, this "enclosure" I built is only
about half the volume it needs to be for a 10 to get optimum sound. Anything
bigger without modifying the tray would stop usage of the seats.
