your speakers (like mine) are actually called "6 1/2 oversized." they are 6
3/4 throughout the entire truck (no difference between front and back). you
can get the best 6 1/2 speakers and have them fit the hole in your truck
through an adapter (which is what i have), which is only a couple of bucks
more. there is more selection in the 6 1/2 speakers than in 6 3/4, and in
my opinion, they have better quality speakers available.

Subject: DML: Replacing stock speakers

I'm looking at replacing the stock speakers in my '99 club cab. I'm
getting conflicting sizes for the speakers. Some references state 6 3/4"
speakers will fit both front and rear. Others say 6 3/4" for the front
and 5 1/2" for the back. Will 6 3/4" fit both? Sure hope so, I'm looking
at some Rockford Fosgate 2 way's that I think will sound kick
ass.........
