Re: LED replacement bulbs?

I used to have those LED style bulbs in my clear taillights on my Dak. They
worked pretty well, they were super bright and didn't burn out for a really
long time. I ended up taking them out and throwing them away b/c they cost
me a multi-function turn signal switch. Dealership replaced it under
warranty and told me that they were the cause b/c of improper
resistance...yadda yadda yadda. So, as a solution, I went out and got a
little tub of that plastic crap that you dip tool handles into.... it works
great. I usually peel and re-coat once a month to keep them looking nice
and bright. At first I had problems with it melting, so I talked to my dad
and he gave me some sort of chemical that would raise the melting point of
the plastic, or make it dry harder or something.
