Don't feel bad Ken, this spring has been pretty pricey for me too. The Dak
got a bunch of attention. Lowered, new tires, new fiel cap (old one was
leaking, setting mil codes), plugs/wires/cap/rotor, trans service, diff
service, oil changes, lightbulbs... well, you get the idea. It's been
almost $1000 so far, and I'm still working on my stereo revamp and window
tint... Probably another $1000 if nothing new "pops" up.

Like I said, my symptoms are simliar to yours, and I'm probably losing more oil than you are. Intake looks fairly clean, so don't know where I'm losing mine either. Don't think I'm adventerous enough to do the belly pan gasket myself, but if it's got to be done, I may have to bite the bullet to add on an M1 intake. Still gotta pay $250-$300 to get my headers intalled :( Man oh man this is getting to be an expensive spring!!! > > Ken Allgood > 97 CC SLT 5.2L > > > > > From: "mike kulczycki" <dakota1994@hotmail.com> > > Date: 2003/04/17 Thu AM 11:36:06 EDT > > To: dakota-truck@dakota-truck.net > > Subject: Re: DML: Re: missing oil?? maybe belly pan > > > > > > i'm planning on doing it on saturday. this is my regular driver, so i need > > it fixed right away. that better be the only problem... > > > > Mike K > > 94 SLT,CC,239,2wd,auto > > 95 Sport,RC,360,5-speed > > http://www.hornok.com/zig > > > > > > > > > > >From: Bob Tom <tigers@bserv.com> > > >Reply-To: dakota-truck@dakota-truck.net > > >To: dakota-truck@dakota-truck.net > > >Subject: Re: DML: Re: missing oil?? maybe belly pan > > >Date: Thu, 17 Apr 2003 10:10:52 -0400 > > > > > > > > >Hi Mike, > > > > > >At 10:50 AM 4/16/03 -0400, you wrote: > > >>thanks for the info. so did you end up having to replace the gasket?? > > >>Mike K > > > > > >No. I had the oil loss symptoms near the end of a racing season.
