Bill, what kind of brackets are these that you got at Lowe's?

I did the main install of the fan last weekend. As for the wires off of
the fan, the black is ground, the orange and the yellow stripe wires I
believe are interchangeable. It is when they are both active you get the
higher speed.

The physical installation took quite a bit of time. There was a lot of
fitting/cutting to get it in there. Here is a link to a picture that
shows what I did.

The blue is what was cut off the large red arrows identify those areas.
The one arrow in the middle on the right side was a notch I had to make
so the Trans cooler lines could pass through. The green arrows show the
screws that I put in to hold the an angle brace to stiffen the top edge.
To get the brace to go all the way across the top I removed the half
circular area indicated by the arrow at the top. You can see the angle
bracket peeking through at that spot.

The mounting brackets were fabricated from angle brackets that I got
from Lowes. They mount to the Dakotas factory locations.

The clearance to the water pump is shown in this image.

I installed the ASP crank underdrive pulley while I was at it.

Bill, do you have your viper fan yet? I received mine today, (along
with my
fender flares, already installed now, looks great). Do you know which
wire
is which? I assume the black is ground. It has a plug that would be
great
to find a connector for else it gets cut off. I think I am just going
to
use the high speed circuit and may put the low speed on a manual switch.
