80k checkup

OK, guys. I just rolled 80k on my ticker, and am getting ready to change a few things, and figured I would ask "what else?"
I have a 99CC 4x4, 318. 31x13.50 tires.

I need to buy some shocks (the ones on there are still the original ones!)
Are the shocks I can get at my local advance/autozone worth the effort or should I mail order a set? I do 99% on road, with quite a few highway miles, but I also have a few crappy country roads and stuff to deal with, too. Adjustables? Any gotcha's or issues here?

I am sick of the rust colored brake dust on my front wheels, but I still stop ok and I don't squeek, so I was thinking of just swapping pads on the stock rotors. Are the pads I can get at my local advance/autozone worth the effort or should I mail order a set?

Last, since I am going to have the truck up on jack stands, what else should I check/do? Is there a redneck way for me to inspect/test my LSD without that tool, short of abusing my tires?

TIA
