It sounds like the lifters drained down. This is
normal for a car/trauk that has been sitting a while.
They take a while to pump back up and stop ticking.
I would not worry abuot it.
On the stripped out bolt, I would go ahead and buy a
left hand drill bit and drill it out. Sometimes the
left hand bit will grab and pull it out. Or you could
just drill it out and re tap it.
