That ground should work fine. When you start getting into higher powered
amps (>500W), then you really need to look at your wiring. I have a JBL
1200.1, 1 Farad cap, running a Kicker solobaric 10". My lights still dim.
I will be rewiring sometime in the future. I can't imagine the difference
it will make. Right now I can get the rear cab wall to vibrate 1/2" with
one 10!
