Yeah, I know what you mean Bill. If you make a little slip and
forget....overheating time. I have been running my Black Magic for sometime
and it ran too much and would cycle on and off many times after I shut down
the engine, so I wired it to go off when I turned off the ignition and
prefer it that way. I would just use the power on/off switch to reduce the
hours on the fan.

I would think it could cause a problem, but I don't know. Putting in the
switches is fine, I just like to not have to worry about it. As for the
fan running constantly with the A/C, I can see your point, but I don't
want to have to remember to put it back on when I slow down. I think
I'll be looking for another solution for that.

Is there any danger to anything if the fan is activated by both?

I think I am going to wire both to use high speed and just use low speed
manually. I may also put a switch to turn off the power altogether if
for
instance, I am using the air but cruising as it is not needed then
anyway.
