The stock springs arch the hood slightly (as seen in the bottom picture) but
if you soften your springs or use the hinges sans springs it would probably
line up just fine - but looks pretty good as-is. There are a couple of
small paint chips from road debris, and a small flat nickel-sized spot at
the top of the passenger-side cowl that was a manufacturing defect (99% of
the people who examine the hood never even notice it - really minor).
This hood retails for $795 PLUS shipping PLUS prep/paint (typically
$250-400). It has the heat extractors option (open/screened cowls - $100
option) which works very well, and the front nostrils are functional
(although not as effective as the Shaker or GTS hoods).
Looking to get $550/obo plus exact freight shipping from 89014 for it.
Helluva bargain for a pre-painted hood, much less a head turner like this
one is. Can't begin to count the number of positive comments and e-mails
I've received regarding this hood and the way my truck looks with it.
Before everybody wigs out and floods me with notes asking why I'm selling
the hood or asking which one I'm replacing it with - I'm getting another
Suncoast hood. It's a long story involving a new matting material and
possible vehicle display at SEMA and other factors, but the bottom line is I
love this hood design and am putting a new one on so someone can save a
bundle by buying my used one.
