I have notice a rattle/clatter from the bottom of my truck lately, a tinny

If not a heat shield somewhere in the system, possibly it's the material
inside the cat that has broken apart and rattling around. Tapping the cat
with a rubber mallet may pinpoint or eliminate it as the noise source.
