Ok, just a quick followup to what I just wrote. I checked out Penda's
web site, and they DO indeed have the exact same drivel (penda vs spray in)
as on that "bedliner facts" web site. Makes me wonder why they thought
they had to hide their identity when it is now so blatantly obvious they
are responsible? I guess they figured anyone who would actually believe
that crap isn't smart enough to track them down. ;-)
This gets better all the time! They even have video clips on their
web site, one shows the preperation that must be done for a spray in - a
guy sanding the bed of a truck. Ooooh! Why do they think that is a
problem???
The other video is even better! It shows that a drop-in offers better
skid resistance. Half of the bed is a drop-in, and half is a spray-in.
There are 2 paint cans on each side, and one of the cans on the spray-in
side is placed so that the edge is not supported. The truck shakes,
and that paint can tips over and ROLLS to the front of the truck. THIS
is their proof of skid resistance? ROLLING??? Arguably, part of the
reason the paint can tipped at all is because the spray-in has HIGHER
skid resistance - the can couldn't skid so all it could do was tip.
Hey, found something else - on their site, they list some facts
and actually say "Courtesy of www.bedlinerfacts.com" - as if they are
separate entities.
I'm sure there is more, but I just realized I have spent too much
time on this already and have more important things to do. :-)
They must think we are a bunch of idiots!
This clinches it - I am officially boycotting Penda. :-)
