2.2 was a Metric OHC 4 cylinder version of the slant 6. Nearly
indestructible. Even the 3.0 was 75% designed by Chrysler. Heads were done
by Mitsu. During the Iacocca years Chrysler owned 52% of Mitsu (controlling
interest). They sold it off but Daimler bought an interest.
