Hey guys,

My wheels are peeling! Does anyone know what kind/type of
paint I need to do to restore them? My bro said that any
metallic shine automotive spray paint should do, just
remove the peeling coat and repaint...

I've been thinking about removing the shiny metallic paint
off of the wheels and instead painting them flame red (just
like the truck.) What are your thoughts, ladies and gents?
I'm not going to throw altezza tail lights on the thing or
anything, but I was just staring at the peeling paint and
thinking "Hrm, painting the wheels the same color as the
body would be a bit different!"

Opinions? Should I run away from my dakota now before I
paint flowers on it too? :)

Dirty Pete

I don't have a part number or anything, but I do have a
picture showing what they look like. I don't have access to
it right now though. Unless someone else posts one in the
meantime, I'll dig it up and e-mail it to you tomorrow. As
far as getting the lug nuts or a part number goes, any
Dodge dealer should be able to get them for him. If the
dealer or the parts store needs to look up a specific
vehicle, have him try a 1996 Dodge Dakota SLT (v8 or v6).
That's what
my truck is, and I *think* those wheels came with the SLT
package.
