Higher octane gas will not "clean out carbon" deposits. Extremely
potent additives that used to be readily available but have long since disappeared
deemed harmful to the environment couldn't clean carbon. Such deposits must
be forcably removed with tools after disassembly.
If your truck runs with little or no ping on 87 gas as most Dodge
engines are designed to do in factory mode then you're wasting your money to use 90
or 92. If you've made modifications to your engine you might have to use one
of the upper rated fuels because the changes demand it
