steering squeak & noise

I've got a bit of a strange problem. My '00 CC 4x4 has recently
developed some noises related to the steering system.

There are two noises, and both of them *only* happen when I have the
wheel turned to the right (doesn't matter how much -- even just a few
degrees off center to the right). The first noise sounds kind of like
a rattling noise (not a squeak) and is only audible at low speeds
(primarily in parking lots, etc.) I suspect it's probably present at
higher speed too, but the road noise drowns it out at that point.

The second noise is a squeak. When I have the wheel turned at all to
the right, there's a squeak if I go over even a tiny bump. I had a
similar problem once a while back (squeak on right turns from a stop).
I had the dealer take a look at it, and they lubed all of the pivot
points on the intermediate steering shaft and the noise went away.

Well, yesterday I greased the hell out of all of the joints on the
intermediate steering shaft. I haven't driven the truck much since
then, but the squeak seems to be gone. Any ideas about either of
these noises and what I can do to get rid of them?

Thanks,

-Bill
