I think you may be thinking of the second to last tire - after the
first tire rolls across the ground and hits the 2nd tire, you don't
see what happens to it - the camera cuts away immediately. The second
to the last tire however does hit the last tire, stop, then keep going,
but its apparent that it only made 1/8 to 1/4 of a revolution before it
hits, so naturally after it hits the other tire and stops, its going to
keep going until the weight gets near the bottom. Its also quite natural
to accellerate faster than it did when it was hit itself because the
weight is now off to the side considerably instead of right on top of
the tire.

: BTW, the story keeps changing. Depending on which "true story" you read, Honda spent
: anywhere from 1 to 6 million US $'s on the project and it took anywhere between 400 - 700
: takes to get it right. Why all of the inconsistencies?

That's just the nature of the "grapevine" :-) Unless you get your
info directly from the source, you can't be sure how many changes
its gone through. Ever play the "post office" game in grade school?
Well, muliply that by the Internet, and its amazing when we can get
ANY correct info! :-)
