4700 miles on the QC and it's time to start thinking shocks. I forgot
how bad the OEM ones were!
I had Rancho RS 5000s on the '99 and I liked them, but their off-road
bias will not be appreciated on the new truck by my other half - she
wasn't a big fan of them on the '99 and this truck's supposed to be
around for at least 5 years.
I'd love RS 9000s but it's not worth it without the in-cab adjuster - so
if you suggest them, please send me the money to cover that :)
Can anyone recommend a nicely-priced (I'm getting broker by the day here
and said other half is already shopping for white dresses) set of shocks
that will be good on- and off-road? Nothing too stiff, but I want a
solid road-holding feel with a lot less body roll than the OEM ones.
I've heard decent things about a couple Monroe models but don't recall
the names offhand.
Oh, and not having my front lower shock bolts snap every 2 weeks would
be a big plus too :)
