I used my fingernails to pick the letters off and then some goof off to
remove the glue residue. My truck sat on the lot about 1 year before I
bought it, and I had slight shadowing... I'd assume that after 3 years
you'll have some decent shadowing. Probably nothing that a good deep
cleaning of the paint won't get out though. Let us know how it goes!
