they use mostly the same engines we do. i ran into the website a couple of
years back, and they offer pretty much the same thing that we have here,
with a couple of notable exceptions: for one, you can't order a 5.9L.
second, they offer a 2.5L I-4 (which they don't offer up here any more).
finally, they offer a 2.5L I-4 Diesel. i've been trying to figure out who
makes the engine, and so far, i've heard it is a mitsu engine (this was
before MB started throwing in their "advice" into building our cars). it
would be nice to be able to drive up to a dealership and order a 318...

Subject: DML: There are Dakotas in Brazil!!!!
Hey everyone,
I couldn't remember the correct syntax to unsubscribe from the list, so here
i am, still on even though i'm WAAAAYYYYYY down south. :)
(Sao Paulo, Brazil)
So, i've actually seen a few Daks down here, one even had a "5.2 R/T" badge
on it, thought that was kinda funny. I haven't talked to any of the owners
yet, my Portuguese isn't exactly up to talking about motors etc. :)
I don't know what engines come in the Daks here though. The friends i have
met think 1.8 litre engine is big and fast, so i don't know if the trucks
actually get "real" engines or what...
I haven't seen any full-size Dodges yet, Ford seems to be the only prevalent
"big" trucks around with the F-250, i've seen probably a dozen or so now,
all sadly 2wd. :)
Anyways, today i'm going to head to the old downtown core, take some
pictures of 600+ year old buildings. I guess it's a pretty rough part of
town, so if i don't make it back in one piece, i want to be buried with my
Dak in the pit at Jon's place. hehe

Two words, figure it out.....
