What size wires are you using on the ground and power for the fan?

DC clamp on amp probe with min/max recording is what I used, fluke. All
motors draw a large amount of current when they first start up. Im
using a 100A fuse, one relay for each speed, a permacool control, and 3
switches. one manual, one selects the speed, and one will either allow
or not allow the compressor to turn on the fan. so far I have had 0
problems with my setup, its been on for 3 months now.
