That is understandable. But if you are just trying to stop the odometer
from registering mileage you would probably have to disconnect the speed
sensor at the tranny because the veichle computer would still memorize the
mileage for the electronic display and still show actual mileage once it is
reconnected. The memory is not in the dash cluster but in the computer.
Could you run without the speed sensor input?
