Yep, my 98 5.2 did the same thing. Replace the TPS myself in about 10
minutes and resolved it, (thanks to the other DML members who diagnosed it
in about 5 seconds..).

Check the TPS. Had a 99 V6 myself,with that revving
(going up a hill,for me). They replaced the throttle
position sensor and it fixed that. May be your problem
