I used to be a network & systems admin for the CS department at SUNY
Fredonia (a local state college), but now I just teach a class via the
Internet for them. My "main" job is as the office manager/computer guy/etc.
for my family's real estate brokerage (Steiger Realty). A sideline (my
"fun job") :-) is designing, manufacturing and selling automotive and
motorcycle parts (Steiger Performance), and I am also co-founder/manager/
sysadmin/etc. for a small web & e-mail hosting outfit (Twisted Bits).
Previous jobs include independent contracting stints in the IT deptarments
of GE, Cummins, and some other companies, (I was surprised at how truly
incompetent many people at these multi-billion dollar companies are!!),
the IT department of a local college, and of course the early "manual
labor" jobs like Wal-Mart, Burger King (got to assistant manager there
before I burned out and decided it wasn't worth it) and farming...
So, now you know what flashes before my eyes when I point the Ram
towards the mud pit... ;-)
