Hello,

I have a 92 Dakota 318 v-8 w/46rh auto transmission
w/overdrive.

Problem: At random times (it seems to happen w/engine
cold or normal op temp) when i accelerate, the engine
winds up, high revs to @3k rpm or so, but the truck
barely moves, at least not in relation to the noisy
revs. When I try to accelerate harder, the truck just
doesn't have any real power. Then the
engine/transmission seems to "loosen", the revs drop
then rise as the truck accelerates normally, like it
should.

This seems to be happening more frequently. Doesnt'
matter time of day, uphill/downhill, cold/hot, etc.

Could this be a problem with the torque converter? Any
and all ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Will in the sticks...
