I wouldn't worry a whole lot about using the draw bar on it. I brought
mine back from Washington DC to Dothan, AL behind my friends Ranger; and
that's been over 2 years ago.. Mine is a manual tranny 2wd.. but if you're
that worried about it.. just take out the driveshafts, and it won't care
what gear it thinks it's in.
My only concern about using the bar was needing to drill the holes in
the bumper to mount it.. luckily.. I had an extra front bumper to mount it
to.
