Try putting about a thousand pounds of something in the bed and see
how it rides then. Do that with a soft suspension and you're in
trouble.. Too bad adjustable/adaptive suspension systems aren't cost
effective enough to be included on all trucks..
Been there done that. Half a yard of 3/4 stone, twice and a couple of DITY
moves with the Navy with about 1600# in the back of the Nissan. Driving was
adventuresome but predictable, rear end liked to lumber around the road a
bit but it was slow and predictable.
With a big load of dirt in the Dak is didn't really notice much of a change
to handling of course the roads were smooth and I wasn't doing highway
speeds.....
