Maybe I'm showing my ignorance, but don't your symptoms suggest the rear wheel speed sensor
that's located @ top front of the rear diff. My truck had your symptoms, plus intermittent
stalling when idling down at stops. Replacing the rear wheel speed sensor ($32 part no.
506028226-AB) did the trick.
