Yes, you can buy a software tuner like Tweecer for the Fords. But people
still are more willing to spend the $500 one time to have an experienced
tuner do the tune for them. If you're not familiar with fuel and spark
tables(ignoring the dozens of periphery variables), the first time you open
one up will help you to understand how intimidating they can be. The
learning curve is not trivial.

actually you can get a stand alone system for 800 bucks
for mustangs/capri 5.0's
