Just ot my truck back yesterday. I went to stupid k-mart to get a shirt for
an even stupider wedding ( is stupider a word? ), when i tried to start her,
she sasid "click". Turned the lights on to see if they dimmed when it
clicked. They didnt so, i knew it was the starter. Had to have it towed to
Advantage Dodge here in Elkton.Called them early monday and told the the
starter was bad. Well, monday afternoon they called and it started fine for
them. Nothing wrong with the starter. I argued with them for a good 20
minutes and their solution was, if it happens again let us know. I asked
them if i should just bu a starter and carry it around with me.Tuesday
morning at 6 am, i go out to start the truck, and guess what? Your right!!!
It wouldnt start. "click". Had to call roadside assistance to have it towed
back to Advantage. Picked up the truck last night, and guess what part they
had to replace? i looked at the receipt when i picked her up, said" replaced
starter" . I looked at the service manager and said " Told u so".Still got
the clunking in the steering wheel, but iwill prove that point later.
Anyway, the reason i need help, i just purchased a 1984 Jeep Wagoneer. She
is in desperate need of a 2.5 liter. Anyone out there know where one is. The
jeep is an automatic with air. 4 wheel drive, rear wiper (yuk) . Rebuilt
trans, new exhaust, new paint, and got it real cheap.
