I'm sure you take care of your GAs. My fiancee has a '94 with 140K on
the clock and it's dying a slow, horrible death. No clue what its
history was prior to her acquiring it 3 years ago was, but the "family
mechanic" found it for her and thought it was OK. Numerous electrical
problems, I think it's short some power, and now it stalls randomly
(only occasionally though). No clue what has been done by repair shops.
I don't have anything against GAs in general, just this particular one.
Can't wait till we find her a new car so I know what the history really
is on it.
