Because they don't have to in order to sell their product. If you follow
their change recommendations, you end up paying less than you would for any
other mass marketed oil on the market. Why lower your price when in the long
run you are less expensive at your current pricing. Maybe they do allow
manufacturers to use it as fill. I never really looked into that one because
honestly, I don't care. :)
Yes, it is marketing fluff. But then, very few things surrounding us today
are not.
