removing ABS sensor from rear diff.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the ABS sensor from the rear diff on a 99
Dak 4X4? I was able to locate and get at the ABS sensor and remove the
retaining bolt, but I can't figure out how to remove the sensor from the
diff housing. I'm afraid I'll either break the sensor trying to remove it,
or damage something else in the process. Thanks in advance for any advice.
