Ray says in one short paragraph what I cannot say in 10 emails and does it
without hurting anyone's feelings...

So as for me,
"What Ray says!"

Ok, it's widely known that Mobil 1 comes as standard equipment, i.e.
"factory fill", in Chevrolet Corvette, all Porsches, Mercedes-Benz AMG
models, Dodge Viper, Ford Mustang Cobra R and all Aston Martin cars.

Since these cars don't compete with others on *price* the manufacturers can
use any oil they like and just charge what they want for the cars. Not
saying Amsoil is bad but if it was *clearly* superior, it's cost would not
be a pricing or profit issue to manufacturers or the folks who can afford
these cars. Sorry, but you can't convince me that raising the price of an
Aston Martin to cover the cost of Amsoil would be a deal breaker. :-)

As for me, I'll stick with Mobil 1 because it's affordable to me and has
performed admirably in all my vehicles. It's been used in my race Dak for
11 years, with 31,000 street miles and 1600 drag strip passes (that's 400
miles of wide open throttle with shifts at 6000 rpm). The other 2 cars are
daily drivers that get about 50 strip runs a year. None have used any oil
or had any failures. What more would Amsoil have done for me? :-)
