Speaking of engine ticking, ever since I put the top end of
the 318 in my '92 Ram back together after the mud pit, after I
shut off the warm engine, it goes "clackity-clackity-clackity"
for several seconds. I have heard engines that tick a bit
as they cool down but this is much louder than that and quite
pronounced. I'm guessing maybe its the rockers, valves or lifters
cooling down (could the oil be draining out of the lifters?)

Anyway, the engine has been running great so I'm not too
worried about it, just thought I might be able to get some
ideas as to what it could be, as it definitely didn't do
this before I took it apart and put it back together. :-)
