I've got at least 20k on my '01 with the Bosch platinum +4s. No complaints.
I still remember how much better the truck felt right after I upgraded from
stock plugs.

My brother in law has a '00 QC Dak with the 4.7 engine. It's bone stock. He
installed a set of Bosch platinum plugs (I don't remember which flavor) and
the truck ran like total crap. It misfired so bad he thought something else
was failing in the engine. Swapped out the plugs for a set of Champions and
everything was happy again. So, this isn't just an "old wives tale". It may
work for some, but the majority is saying differently.
