Well, Makita makes many fine tools, so I can accept that their cordless
impact might be worth the effort. My comments were directed at the
harbor freight style CORDED electric impact wrences, and I stand by my
assertions....

I use a Makita rechargeable and it works fine. It won't break wheel
lugs
loose or tighten them to proper torque but it's a big time saver when
changing wheels at the track (I have 3" studs). It has also come in
handy
for just about everything else smaller that I've needed to remove or
install. Just use a torque wrench for the final tightening.
