Heh! Funny you should mention "Snap On" double flare kits -
all of the double flare kits I have used so far have been "Snap
Off" as in, try to make a double flare and the handle will snap
off! Pieces of crap!
I would like to get a good quality double flare kit, but I haven't
found one yet. Not one that I am willing to shell major bucks out
for anyway.
I do have one quality flaring tool, but its not an SAE 45 degree
flare/double flare, its a single 37 degree flare, used in aviation
and for AN fittings. (The fuel system on the Cuda is all AN,
I bought it for that.)
